Diamond Packaging & PrintReleaf Help with Certified Reforestation

This partnership is part of Diamond’s Greenbox initiative and complements the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

Diamond Packaging entered a new partnership with PrintReleaf.

PrintReleaf helps companies measure their paper and fiber-based material consumption and offset the equivalent forest impact through certified global reforestation projects.

Through the partnership, Diamond Packaging will give consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands a way to address their environmental impact from paperboard packaging.

Dennis Bacchetta, Marketing & Sustainability Director at Diamond Packaging, said:

“CPG brands are increasingly looking for credible, measurable ways to advance their sustainability goals and demonstrate meaningful environmental action. Our partnership with PrintReleaf gives customers another opportunity to extend their sustainability efforts beyond responsible material sourcing by directly supporting certified reforestation.”

PrintReleaf’s cloud-based platform measures the paperboard used and converts it into an equivalent number of standard trees.

A standard tree is PrintReleaf’s unit of measurement for forest biomass, equivalent to a tree 40 feet tall and 7 inches in diameter at breast height (DBH) at maturity.

From there, PrintReleaf and brands can support reforestation through a network of certified projects around the world, providing customers with documented and verifiable results.

The PrintReleaf partnership is a natural evolution of Diamond’s Greenbox initiative and complements the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
